Thank You
Come Again!

I know we all did a lot of online shopping during quarantine. No where to go but the 💫✨🌈 seratonin 🌈✨💫 from receiving a package helped with the quarantine depression a bit. I’m really curious what everyone treated themselves to during quarantine.

If you quickly skim through my quarantine cart receipt, you’ll see that I gave my bed a little refresh with new sheets and pillows. I also started taking my Depop store a bit more serious. I got shipping bags, business cards, a ring light and tripod, a label printer and scale to weigh my packages. I’m really excited for what’s to come with my Manifest Store.

I treated myself to a pair of flower earrings and a secondhand Chloe shoulder bag from Vestiaire Collective (like The Real Real but based in Europe.) The import fees and shipping can be expensive since the purse I got was from a seller in France but it was still cheaper than similar Chloe bags on The Real Real. I saw a TikTok that said Vestiaire Collective has cheaper prices than The Real Real so I had to see for myself. The banana-shaped shoulder bag was a complete impulse buy… sort of. I saw a similiar one on Depop but someone had already bought it. If you couldn’t tell from my Grocery List Look Book, I’ve been really into dressing like a fruit recently lmaooo. So, for days I scrounged the internet for a similiar banana bag with no luck. I saw a few similar ones from YesStyle but I wanted to buy less fast fashion – I had already treated myself to a Free People cardigan that was on sale at Belk and a silicone orange-shaped Airpod case from Alixpress. I found one on eBay – it was new but I felt a bit better since it wasn’t buying directly from a fast fashion company. I’m still waiting for that Airpod case to come in btw. It’s been two months but that’s what I get for wanting to save ~$13 and buy it from Alixpress instead of Amazon.

I finally got around to trying Glossier. I’ve always hestitated buying Glossier bc it seems so overhyped but my eyebrow gel ran out and I was in an impulsive, ~treat myself~ mood so I got the Boy Brow and Generation G Lipstick duo. I’ve only used the Boy Brow once since it just came in yesterday but it wasn’t mindblowing. You can find a cheaper drugstore alternative. The Generation G Lipstick has the perfect finish though. Not shiny and not too matte. It looks like your natural lip finish, which I love. I got the color “Like” and it looks like my natural lip color but better. I also got a few things from The Inkey List and The Ordinary from Sephora to try out since I ran out of skincare… I swear! I only have Cerave Moisturizing Cream left. My Sephora order hasn’t come in yet but The Inkey List prices are similar to The Ordinary and had good reviews. I got another vitamin c from The Ordinary because their Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% didn’t work for me and I’m starting to see some sun spots on my face. That’s why I also got the bucket hat. Societal pressure to not get old and wrinkly, even though it’s perfectly natural, is getting to me 😔 Anyways, this was me trying to justify all my impulse quarantine purchases. Thanks for coming to my TedTalk.
